Predict to Earn with RAI Finance
What is Predict?
Predict is a GameFi product of RAI Finance that allows users to make predictions about certain events and play Risk to Earn games. Users can predict the outcome of an event and be rewarded if they are correct but lose if they are wrong.
How-to-use Predict
To begin, kindly connect your MetaMask wallet to RAI Finance.
In the prediction market, you have the option to purchase or sell shares based on your prediction of the outcome. For instance, this market is predicting whether Bitcoin (BTC) will reach $30,000 by February 8th. If you believe it will reach that level, you may purchase “Yes” shares. Conversely, if you believe it will not reach that level, you may purchase "No” shares.
A ‘share’ refers to a unit of ownership in the prediction made about the outcome of an event (such as the value of a cryptocurrency).
Buying shares
To buy shares, please follow these steps:
Navigate to the "Predict" tab located on the top side bar.
Select the market you would like to make a prediction on.
To buy shares, input the amount of SOFI you want to spend.
Click on the "Approve" button, and once the approval transaction has been completed, click the "Place Order" button.
On the Confirm Transaction box, check the box after reviewing our Terms of Use and click on the ‘Confirm’ button.
After the transaction is finished, you can check your balance by clicking on "More →" in the main page of Predict.
Selling shares
To sell your shares prior to the end of the term, kindly follow these steps:
Click on the "Trade" button located on your market position.
Input the amount of Shares you want to sell.
Just like when you buy the shares, Click on the "Approve" button, and once the approval transaction has been completed, click the "Place Order" button.
On the Confirm Transaction box, check the box after reviewing our Terms of Use and click on the ‘Confirm’ button.
A warning pop-up message from Metamask will appear as you click on the ‘Confirm’ button - that this transaction will allow a third party to access and transfer all your NFTs.
5-1. But don’t worry, this contract will grant RAI Finance access ONLY to your YES/NO shares on Predict and NOT your NFTs.
After the "Sell" transaction is successful, you can check your updated balance on the Portfolio page.
How to Redeem
To redeem after the event ends (market is resolved), please kindly follow these steps:
Click on "More →" in the main page of Predict.
If the market is still open, you can trade in the pools by clicking the Trade button. Once a market has resolved, the button will change from Trade to Redeem. To redeem, click on "Market Positions", and then click on the "Redeem" button.
After the transaction is finished, you have redeemed your winnings and can check your SOFI balance in your wallet.
